Welcome to

Toowoomba
Christian
College

As a Christian school in the Liberal Arts tradition, our unique Prep – 12 curriculum provides opportunities for students to grow in knowledge and Godly wisdom.

We are dedicated to the formation of each student, desiring to see each flourish in relationship with God, seeking and recognising the transcendence of His Truth, Beauty and Goodness in the world. Through learning, our aim is to help young people imagine the world as it should be, and equip them to play their part in making that vision a reality.

Student Formation

We are dedicated to the formation of each student, recognising that each has been created imago dei (in the image of God).

Together as a community, our desire is to help each young person grow in wisdom and character as they seek the Truth, Beauty and Goodness of God, and discover who He has created them to be.

  • PRIMARY ATHLETICS CARNIVALS | What a wonderful round of Primary School Athletics Carnivals we enjoyed at the end of last term.

Students embraced every event with enthusiasm, determination, and great House spirit. From the first race to the final points tally, every student contributed to the excitement and energy of the carnivals.

While Graham and Taylor fought hard throughout, the Athletics Shield ultimately came down to a close contest between Lewis and Chisholm. In the end, Chisholm surged ahead to claim their fourth consecutive Athletics Shield. Congratulations, Chisholm!

We are grateful to the many parents, carers, and family members who joined us to cheer on our young athletes and help create such a positive atmosphere.

  • MILO’S BIRTHDAY PARTY | Our Prep students had a special celebration last week for Milo the Monkey, who has been helping them learn the letters of the alphabet throughout this year.

Students wore costumes inspired by their favourite letter and participated in a range of engaging activities, including a scavenger hunt to find Milo, who had left clues across the grounds.

Through purposeful play, students consolidate and embed their learning, making concepts more accessible, memorable and enjoyable for our youngest learners.
  • YEAR 1 FAIRY TALE BALL | Our Year 1 students have spent the year exploring the rich world of fairy tales, stepping into stories filled with brave heroes, talking animals, and memorable happily-ever-afters.

Beyond their charm, these stories have helped nurture imagination, grow empathy, and foster an early love of reading. Through each tale, students have learned to picture vivid scenes, consider ideas of right and wrong, and discover the enduring power of storytelling.

To celebrate their learning, students brought their favourite stories to life at our Fairy Tale Ball. Dressed as beloved characters, they enjoyed a joyful and memorable experience that reflected the depth of their engagement and the delight of stepping into stories they have come to know and love.
  • YEAR 5 GREEK DAY | Our Year 5 students have been learning about Ancient Greece. Last week, they shared their learning by transforming their classroom into a museum, inviting other Primary students to engage with the visual presentations they had thoughtfully prepared.

Students then gathered to enjoy a Greek feast, extending their learning through shared experience. Opportunities like this help to embed understanding, creating meaningful connections between what is learnt and how it is experienced, bringing learning to life in memorable ways.

Thank you to our dedicated teachers and parent volunteers whose time and effort made this such a memorable day for our students.
  • SCRIPTURE-INSPIRED PAINTING | This term, our Year 10 Visual Art class has been exploring how to bring Scripture to life through their work.

Students began by researching a range of modern art movements before selecting a style to mimic within their own Biblically-inspired pieces. Each student then chose a Bible verse that holds personal meaning, using both the selected artistic style and Scripture as the foundation for their work. It has been a privilege to see the diversity of verses that speak to our students and the care with which these have been expressed visually.

Their work points beyond personal expression to reflect the truth, beauty and goodness found in Christ.
