As a Christian School in the Liberal Arts tradition, our desire is to empower students to become self-aware, critical thinkers, who desire to grow in wisdom and understanding. Beyond job-preparedness, our aim is to help each student imagine the world as it should be, and equip them to play their part in making that vision a reality.
By developing its own Year 12 Certificate, Toowoomba Christian College is able to provide a unique learning model that provides students with the flexibility and opportunity to pursue individualised learning pathways, including accelerated university studies and school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. While our senior subjects are based on QCAA syllabuses, we have the flexibility to adapt these to suit our context and educational philosophy. We are also able to introduce other elective subjects to our curriculum (e.g. Liberal Arts).
Upon completion of Year 12, students will receive a certificate that shows details of their senior secondary subjects, as well as their weighted Grade Point Average (GPA).
Please note that the unique method of our delivery does mean that changing schools part-way through Senior High (Years 11 & 12) after starting at TCC is difficult.
